Porter Pilots Launch First Aerial Robotics-Drone Team

Students at Porter Traditional School convened to form the school’s first aerial robotics and drone team, using the Robolink CoDrone EDU as their primary training aircraft.

The team formed too late in the school year to participate in the REC Aerial Drone Competition, but that did not stop the pioneering group from getting started. Instead of waiting for next season, the students chose to build the runway now.

Their goal was simple: establish momentum, learn the platform, develop team habits, and create a small cohort of returning students who can help welcome and mentor new teammates when next year’s program begins.

By starting early, Porter’s first drone team turned a missed competition window into a launch window.
